My heart is broken over Tony. We have had so many conversations, text over this past year. How he could make me laugh over some of the things he said. He could be silly as a baby, and as a young man still that way. As your Aunt, this family has lost a piece of our heart that can never be filled. May God give comfort to all the Carroll, andPhillips family and to the many friends that you had. My Love,Aunt Pam Carroll

I met Tony in Jr High School in Salinas when we were kids.
We became best friends and remained so for a long time, even after I moved away in high school. We had so many good memories. From getting picked up by the police after crashing a girls' slumber party, to joining the North Salinas tennis team, to him riding the greyhound from Salinas to Escondido to go to Philmont Boy Scout camp with me.

Unfortunately, life took over and we grew apart as we both pursued careers and family over the years. I was lucky enough to find him again about a year or so ago, thanks to Facebook. We basically just picked up where we had left off. It was as if there hadn't been 25 years since we seen each other. I only wish that we'd had more time to catch up.

There are really no word to express how I feel. Tony was a great man, father and friend. I'd like to extend my love and condolences to his family. It's a difficult time but I want you to know that I know without a doubt we will see him again and your family will be together again one day.

Thoughts and prayers go out from my family to yours.

My heart is full of love and prayers for your family. I will be crying right along with you. I met Tony after my mission--so 94-95 time frame. Our friendship just took off. He was a big help with a single adult conference in 1995. Loved dancing with him--before we were all married. I always think of dancing to Copper Head Road with him and the electric slide--but he always had to go the opposite direction of everyone else. I still remember when he said he would go on the double date with you, Wendy, and Chris and I (we were so young then). When Chris and I got married and we all did the Limbo at our reception. Your wedding 3 months after ours. How you both helped us when Chance was born, and then going to the hospital a month later to meet your boy Seth. But it always seemed that no matter how long between our conversations, it always felt like we just spoke yesterday. I will miss his smile, his hugs, his laugh, and his sense of humor. I have wonderful memories of Tony. May the Holy Ghost fill your hearts with peace and comfort at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
