In order to provide better service and to insure our clients families a high degree of confidence in the cremation process, we have our own crematory on the premises operated by our professional staff. This means absolute assurance of dignity, privacy, and professionalism throughout the cremation process.
Cremation services can include a private or public viewing and/or funeral ceremony at our Funeral Home or your place of worship prior to the cremation itself. Burial of the cremated remains, if desired, may take place at a later date, and may be either public or private.
Many families considering cremation do not realize the many services available. We offer memorial services or a complete funeral with visitation, including use of our ceremonial casket. This eliminates the high cost of purchasing a casket for only a one or two hour visitation -- which means convenience and cost savings to families preferring cremation.
This choice includes immediate cremation but also offers the option of holding a memorial service, which is held after the cremation.
Immediate cremation includes no ceremonies or rites. It may take place only after obtaining a signed death certificate from the attending physician along with a signed authorization from the next of kin, or authorized agent of the deceased. In the State of North Carolina, there is a twenty-four hour waiting period after the time of death before cremation can take place.
Options for the cremated remains include burial at the cemetery, scattering of the cremated remains, placement in an urn to be kept at home, or placed in a columbarium niche or other location. If you would like to explore further options, we would be glad to provide you with the information you desire to meet your needs.
