Thomas Richard Truett was born November 23, 1950 and passed peacefully away August 20, 2016 due to declining health at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Thomas was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey and moved to North Carolina in 2002. He worked at K&W Cafeteria in the Berkeley Mall in the Stock room. He retired and loved doing yard work.  Thomas enjoyed going to the beach with his family, was a huge Fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, loved watching WWE, Duck dynasty and The Walking Dead.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Kristi T. Alston and Tammy M. Weinstein; son, Thomas R. Truett Jr. and son-in-law, Raymond Alston; as well as his grandchildren and many friends and other family members.

A private service will be held.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
