Samuel Henry Merriweathers, 72, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Samuel was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Merriweathers of Goldsboro.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ernestine Smith Merriweathers Uzzell and husband, Jesse Lee Uzzell of Durham.

In keeping with Samuel's wishes, there will not be a wake, funeral or memorial.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
