Pete was a true friend to the employees and the greatest Store Manger 1236 ever had. I know because I was at the store for each of them! You could always count on Him. After leaving Wal-Mart when in Goldsboro occasionally I would see him and he was still the same. I think he was glad to retire but still missed "His People". He made strong impacts on each of us by his character. He is The Store Manager we all will always remember. Our prayers and thoughts are with all his family.

Rita you and your family are in my prayers, not just today but for days to come. Pete Flanigan was one of a kind, he was unique, special, caring and just what we needed at 1236. When I first met him, I knew he was the one. He had that sweet smile, and he just stole our hearts. This man did wonders for our store, and when he left he literally took us with him. He showed compassion for his associates, and we would do anything he ask us to do. He will be missed and there will never be another man that could fill his shoes. He loved you and his family, and we know he loved his Walmart family. If there is anything you need...please give me a call. I would love to help any way I can. Love to you and your precious family...Thank you for sharing your husband with us. God Bless and keep you...

Rita, our condolences to you and your family. We will always remember the kind heart Pete had for those who knew him. Pete's heart was huge when it came to the needs of others. He treated us like family and he had no problems showing how much he cared. It was a pleasure to know him. Our thoughts and prayers will be that the Lord will hold you close with His love and peace. May His sufficient Grace be with you now and in times to come.

To a dear man who was a blessing to me and my family. He was the one and only top Manager that WalMart store 1236 ever had and ever will have. He was a generous and caring man who really cared about the people that worked for him. Pete and my sister Gloria are in heaven rolling back prices. Condolences to his wife Rita and the family.

Pete was such a good man. One of the best things that came out of my years at WalMart was meeting Pete. He could be tough when he needed to be, but, had a heart of gold. He genuinely cared for his associates. I will always remember how much he loved WV, and how his eyes lit up whenever he talked about Rita. Pete was not just a friend, he was family. Rita, you and the family, are in my prayers.
