Norma Lois Parks, 61, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

A wake will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at noon at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro. 

Mrs. Parks was born in Wayne County on December 5, 1954 to the late Benjamin and Marie Armwood Pitt.  She was a member of Little Rock Disciples of Christ in Pikeville.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of over 30 years, Jimmy Parks; two daughters, April Duval and husband, Anthony of Fuquay Varina and Faith Godfrey and husband, Clarence of Raleigh; two brothers, Benjamin Pitt and wife, Priscilla of Pikeville and Nevaro Pitt and wife, Tory of Boston; three sisters, Linda Reid of Pikeville and husband, the late Jack Reid , Tonya Forte’ and husband, John of Henderson, KY and Tammy Croom of Pikeville; one grandchild, Aesha Maire Duval ("G-Girl" & "Ayala") a God-daughter, Brenita Stevenson of Clayton and her children, Brenden Stevenson, Ayden Stevenson and Albree Stevenson.

Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Pitt and sister, Sharon Diane Stallings.
