Dudley- Floyd Tyrone Davis, 66, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

A Homegoing Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.  Interment will follow at First Congregational Church Cemetery in Dudley. Viewing will be held prior to service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Floyd was born on April 13, 1950 to the late Wade and Louise Davis in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was educated in the Wayne County public system. He worked on Williams Farm for many years and worked at George Pacific Company for 25 years. Floyd enjoyed cooking for people, especially cooking pigs and much more.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Wade Davis Jr.; two sisters, Betty Davis, Rachel Boseman; and his mother and father-in-law, William and Madlen Oliver.

Floyd leaves to cherish his wonderful and loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Yvonne Davis; their daughter, Taylor Brown of the home; one son, Carlos Sykes of Pennsylvania;  three sisters, Dorothy (Lynn) Williamson of Grantham, Ethel (Bill) Berryman, Christine and Doretha Davis all of Goldsboro; half-brother, Billy Robinson of Goldsboro; brother-in-law, Randy (Pamela) Oliver of Dudley; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Oliver and Geraldine Allen both of Dudley and Lillian Oliver Ashford of Mt. Olive; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He has a very special and dedicated niece whom he was very close to, Felicia Davis of Dudley.
