I met Betty when I was entering into the most difficult times of my life: my teenage years and the separation/divorce of my parents. She was my neighbor and a solace. Her sweet tea, lemonade, and encouragement was always available. She was full of joy. And in her presence I knew I was safe. I gave her the name Betty Bubbles because of her positive outlook on life. She in turn called me her Sunshine.

Through her, I met a dear childhood friend, Daphne, her granddaughter. Both Daphne and Betty encouraged me through a tough moment in my life. I will forever be grateful for their friendships.

Though time has set us on our own journeys and we are busy living our lives. I am thankful that Facebook allowed us to reconnect a while ago, I want to give my sympathies and empathize with you, my sweet energetic Tigger, Daphne. I'm so sorry for your loss. I grieve with you. I know that Betty is no longer in pain and is rejoicing in heaven with her Savior, but saying goodbye to a grandmother is never easy. With all my love, all my sympathy, all my empathy. I'm here.

Marcia and all family members,
Please accept our sympathies at this time. We are sorry we can't make it to her service but we are very glad that God allowed us to see each other about two months ago. Betty always put herself second and showed Jesus in all she did! We will miss her but know she is with Jesus and we will all see her again! May our God give you His comfort during this time. Love, Bob, Carrie, Joshua, and Jessica

So sorry to hear of the passing of Ms. Doyle. I worked with her in the Foster Grandparent Program at Wages. Every time I visited her she always had a warm smile and she enjoyed working with the children. As I left she would always say I love you and God Bless. She will truly be missed, and I am praying for the family.

Ms Betty was a beautiful lady, inside and out! I remember the children's book she was working on. She was so enthusiastic about it and was always concerned about others. I pray that she knew just how much I loved her and missed seeing her and her visits when I was working at Kirkwood.

Mrs. Betty Doyle made a great impact in the lives of not only the children that she served as a WAGES Foster Grandparent, but in the lives of the other volunteers and staff as well. Her tenacity and determination to serve was quite impressive. Even when Mrs. Doyle was not feeling her best, she always showed up at the school or for training. She was a woman of exceedingly strong faith. She will be missed by all of us at the WAGES Foster Grandparent Program. We are comforted in knowing that for Mrs. Doyle, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
