Viengkeo “Boo” Simmalavong, 52, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at 5:30 a.m. at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

A time of visitation will be held Saturday, April 01, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel.

Boo was born in Laos on April 3, 1964.  He was a loving, kind and hardworking man who loved to work on cars, fish and cook.  He worked as a mechanic at Sale Auto Mall for 23 years. 

He is survived by his wife, May Anilhongse; one daughter, Maggie Simmalavong; his mother, Khamla Simmalavong of MN.; Mr. Alom Simmalavong of TX., and Mr. Eric Simmalavong of MN.; his sisters, Manivanh Poovong of Kinston, NC., his twin sister Viengxay Simmalavong of TX, Viengphet Souriyachak of TX and  seven nieces and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Boonhung Simmalavong.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
