Goldsboro- James Thomas “Moon”  Barnett, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with visitation afterwards.

Mr.  Barnett was born in Duplin County on March 24, 1940 to the late Charlie and Minnie Brock Barnett.  He attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by a brother, Wayne Barnett of Goldsboro.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Malcolm Futrelle, Allen Barnett and Alton Barnett.

The family is in the care of  Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
