Martha Lucille Gaines

Martha Lucille Gaines, 78, of Goldsboro passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at home.
 

A service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will greet friends following the service.
 

Martha was born in Virginia on November 19, 1945.  She enjoyed gardening and knitting but most importantly being a wonderful mom.
 

She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Terry Smith of 44 years; two daughters, Brittany Toler Leach (Shariel) and Sara Cook; one brother, Roger Gaines and her six grandchildren, Alexander, Jeremiah, Kaell, Legend, Lyric and Rimiel.
 

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
