Johnnie Lee Medlin

Johnnie Lee Medlin, 75, of Dudley departed this walk of life Saturday, September 10, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.



Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The Reverends Cullen Jarman and Reverend David Wiley will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service.



Mr. Medlin was born in Wayne County on December 3, 1946 to the late Elijah Lee and Dorothy Carter Medlin.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.



He is survived by his wife, Wanda T. Medlin; one son, Johnnie Medlin Jr. of Magnolia, NC.; two daughters, Melissa G. Ovalle and husband, Chris of Goldsboro and Loveit Medlin of  Greenville, NC.; three brothers, Jerry Medlin and wife, Vicki of Princeton, Dwight Medlin and wife, Loretta, of Princeton and Ray Medlin and wife, Rose of Goldsboro; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two on the way!  Mr. Medlin was also survived by his special fur baby, Bobbi Jo.


In addition to his parents, Mr. Medlin was preceded in death by his sister, Joann Medlin Lane.
