Eva Lofton

Eva D. Lofton, 64, of Goldsboro passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

No formal services will be held.

Ms. Lofton was born in Wayne County on April 16, 1957 to Gaynell Durham Lofton and the late Lonnie Love. She was retired from Franklin Baking Company in Goldsboro.  Ms. Lofton loved her family and her friends.  She will be remembered for her love of cooking and cleaning.  She will be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Gaynell Durham Lofton of Goldsboro; two daughters, LaShonda Lofton of Goldsboro and Tish Cody and husband, Cleveland of Greensboro; three brothers, Joe Lofton of New Jersey, Vincent Lofton of Washington, D.C. and Victor Love and wife, Crystal of Dudley; two sisters, Maggie Ann Cobb of New Jersey and Linda Pope of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

In addition to her father, Ms. Lofton was preceded in death by one brother, James Lofton and three sisters, Gail Lofton, Edsel Lofton and Iris Lofton.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
