Delores Merritt Obituary

Delores Cobb Merritt, 71, of Goldsboro went to her heavenly home Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Mrs. Merritt was born in Jamaica on December 25, 1952. She worshipped at Victory Faith Center in Goldsboro as her health permitted. She loved to sing gospel music and most importantly loved to pray. Through her street ministry, she was always sharing the gospel with others and talking about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Cherishing her memories are her mother, Ruth Cobb of Goldsboro; her husband, Nathan "Nate" Merritt; one son, Zacchaeus Cobb of Goldsboro; three daughters, Salena Mayo, Johnetta Mayo and Tangala Cobb, all of Goldsboro; two brothers, James Cobb of Goldsboro and Nazareth Cobb (Bridgett) of Goldsboro; one sister, Ruth Maelean Cobb of Goldsboro; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger James Cobb Sr. and her sister, Dorothy Jean Cobb.

A private service was held for the family.
