Clarence Terry Smith

Clarence Terry Smith, 76, of Goldsboro passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Smith was born in Wayne County to the late Dr. William Cary Smith and Frances Aycock Smith on August 1, 1947. He was a valued employee of Walmart on Spence Avenue in Goldsboro. He received his Associate's in Science degree from Mount Olive Junior College and later received his Bachelor's in Science degree from Atlantic Christian College.

Surviving are two daughters, Brittany Toler Leach (Shariel) and Sara Cook; one brother, Ted Smith (Susan); two sisters, Connie Pearsall and June Kay Smith and six grandchildren, Alexander, Jeremiah, Kaell, Legend, Lyric and Rimiel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Martha L. Gaines who passed away February 29, 2024.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro.  The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
