Teddy James Earp

Teddy “Ted” James Earp, 75, of the Belfast Community passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care.

Funeral service will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Interment with full military honors will follow at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his daughter, Michelle Earp Taylor, 218 Bartlett Ave in Belfast.

Mr. Earp was born in Mecklenburg County on December 17, 1942 to the late John and Janie Earp.  He was retired from the United States Air Force and the NC Department of Corrections.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Earp Taylor and her husband, Neil Kevin Taylor of Belfast; one sister, Barbara Atkinson and her husband, Paul Atkinson of St. Cloud, Florida; one granddaughter, Ashlynn Michelle Earp; one great-granddaughter, Amelia “Millie” Blythe Pate-Ryan; friend, Owen “Trapper” Pope and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Earp was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lynn Earp and eleven brothers and sisters.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
