Willzona Redmond, 83, of Goldsboro passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Redmond was born in Pitt County on January 12, 1943 to the late Henry Williams Sr. and Ella Rogers Williams.
 

She is survived by two sons, Frankie Williams (Mia) and James Redmond (Serena); two daughters, Veda Townsend and Verna Holmes (Johnny); one brother, Linwood Earl Williams; three sisters, Elinda Worthington, Ella Gore and Geraldine Cherry; sister-in-law, Eula Mae Williams; her beloved baby, Shirley; ten grandchildren, Vohnyelle (Rahshauna) Holmes, Bianca Ford, Johnny Holmes, Deveda Holmes-Jones, Brandy Townsend, Frankie Williams, Hykeem Holmes,  James Drake Jacobs, Trent Redmond and Khalifa Williams; eight great-grandchildren, De'Antwan, Da'Mya, Bryian, Tanaysia, Demon, De'Marrie, Alysia and De'Anni; one very beloved niece, Kathy Williams and fourteen great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Redmond was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry, Charlie, James and Bobby Williams and two sisters, Sudie Mae Sharpe and Uverna Jordan.
