William “Bill” Clay Thompson passed away Monday evening, September 9, 2024 at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro at the age of 85.
No formal service will be held.
Bill was born in Pennsylvania on June 18, 1939 to the late Clay and Betty Booth Thompson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela “Pam” Thompson; two brothers-in-law, Marty Render of Goldsboro and Bob Cassidy and wife, Kerry and their children, Haley Myers and husband, Pete and Emily Cassidy; two nephews, Walter Render II and wife, Kristin of Pikeville and their children, Kynleigh and Kollyns Render and Michael Render and wife, Kristina of Clayton and their children, Nolan, Nathan and Cole Render and other relatives and friends.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
