William Lee James, 90, passed away Thursday evening, April 21, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Gardens of Memory in Walkerton, NC. The family will greet friends following the service.
He was the loving husband of Emma Jean Tucker James. Bill served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Tucker James; his daughters, Sherrie James and Carmen Tackett; his sister, Betty Eller; his grandchildren Michael, Logan and Mariah Tackett; and two great grandchildren, Guinevere and Harrison Tackett and many other family members and friends that loved him dearly.
