Vira Naomi Taylor passed away peacefully Monday, March 25, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro at the age of 99.
Ms. Taylor was born in Wilson County on July 28, 1924 to the late Gary and Nancy Barnes Howell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Taylor; one son, David Taylor; her siblings and one grandchild.
Cherishing her memories are one son, Gary Martin Taylor of Whittakers; one daughter, Phyllis Davis and husband, Mickey of Pikeville; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Taylor of Kenly; one brother, Dallas Howell and wife, Vivian of Colorado; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
