Troy Antonio Brinson Sr., 51, of Goldsboro departed this earthly life Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Goldsboro. Interment with military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Mr. Brinson was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he received many medals and decorations including Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Marksman Marksmanship and Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.  

He is survived by his mother, Minister Sheryll Brinson; his father, Calvin Brinson (Katrina); his daughter, Sgt. Tranasha Brinson; his son, Troy A. Brinson Jr.; his grandchildren, Trayden Brinson, Tatum Alvis and Tianna Alvis; his brothers, Eric Brinson and Tarus Brinson (Jennifer); his sister, Shantier Brinson; his special friend, Anna and a host of other relatives and friends.
