Tessa Wiggins Obituary

Tessa Lenee' Wiggins, 56, of Goldsboro departed this walk of life Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at her home.

Tessa was born on February 23, 1968 in Wayne County, North Carolina.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rusty Wiggins; children, Jessica Miller & husband, Seth and Jamiee Randall & husband, Brandon; grandson, Landon Miller and grandchild (deceased); mother, Moqueetta Yvonne Steele & stepfather, William Steele (deceased); father, Timmy Shearin & stepmother, Pat Shearin; brother, Danny Shearin & stepbrother, John Shearin.

Tessa had a tender love for cats and if it wasn’t for Rusty, she would have had a house full. She enjoyed fishing and walking around the yard sharing pictures of animals or nests she found. Her heart was as big as they come when it came to animals, even stuffed ones. She had a love and respect for her husband that grew deeper over 28 years of marriage. She filled her time cleaning the house and cooking everything from a special requested breakfast to home-made desserts for Rusty, but she always included and considered any family or friends visiting her home.

In addition to the hobbies and people she loved, her 2 children, Jessica and Jamiee, and grandson, Landon, were what she was most proud of. She would tell anyone any chance she got about how much she thought the world of them. She showed her love for them by always looking for the next cool snack at the gas station to share or sending them boxes filled with things she thought they could use and enjoy on random occasions. She also showed her respect for her daughters by welcoming her gained son-in-laws as family from the minute she met them.

We invite anyone who knew and loved Tessa to join her family in celebrating her memories with a time of visitation on Friday, March 8th, 2024 from 3 until 4:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

Tessa truly never met a stranger. Her laughs and bold personality she kept true to as long as anyone knew her will be deeply missed by many.
