Steve "Jack Rabbit" Futch

Steve Hardy "Jack Rabbit" Futch, 54, of Dudley passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 2 until 3 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro followed by a graveside at 3:30 p.m. at Yelverton Grove Church Cemetery in Smithfield.

Steve was born in Wayne County on November 6, 1966 to the late George and Bertie Howell Futch.  He was a dedicated employee of Villari Brothers of Warsaw.

He is survived by two children, Steve Futch Jr. (Candace Whaley) and Tiffany Futch, both of Dudley; two brothers, Ricky Jones of Princeton and Roger Jones (Jenny) of Fremont; three sisters, Gloria Thomas (David) of Princeton, Debbie McLamb of Pikeville and Lisa Futch of Rosewood; two grandchildren, Little Man and Savannah and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Jones and a sister, Regina Futch.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
