Shelby Jean (Nethercutt) Walston

Shelby Jean Walston, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 9, 2021 at home.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Nahunta Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Walston was born in Greene County on December 3, 1936 to the late Jessie and Minnie Best Taylor Nethercutt.  She was a lifelong member of Nahunta Friends Meeting.

She is survived by one daughter, Norma D. Strickland and husband, Dwight of Goldsboro; one brother, Shorty Nethercutt of Bailey and one sister, Evelyn Gray of Grifton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Lee Walston; one son, Jessie Davis and one brother, Tommy Nethercutt.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
