Russell Lee Hubbell

Russell “Russ” Lee Hubbell, 64, of Pikeville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 9, 2023.

A celebration of his life will be held at Friday, March 17, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Fremont Missionary Baptist Church, 108 N. Vance Street in Fremont with visitation to follow.

Russell was born in Oregon on June 24, 1958 to the late Keith and Aurilla Young Hubbell. He was the owner and operator of Directional Falling Tree Service and attended Fremont Missionary Baptist Church in Fremont.  Russ was a hard worker and a devout Christian.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He always had a playful smile or a tidbit of wisdom to offer.  He will be greatly missed by all and his legacy will continue to live on.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Edwina “Winnie” Hubbell; one son, Garrett Hubbell and wife, Jessica of Oregon; two daughters, Cynthia DeBruine and husband, Norman of Pikeville and Stephanie Crosby and husband, James of Pikeville; four brothers, Ralph Hubbell, Ron Hubbell, Ray Hubbell and wife, Jodena and Rodney Hubbell and wife, Lisa; one sister, Amelia McKinley and eight grandchildren, David, Danny, Paul and Faith DeBruine, Connor and George Crosby and Cassadee and Rebecca Hubbell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hubbell.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory.
