Rodney Radford, age 79, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

 

Rodney was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; his parents, Maggie and Herman Radford; six brothers, Ricky, Glenn, Sidney, Shelton, Earl and Charles; five sisters, Shirley, Ella Mae, Joyce, Roberta and Virginia and two grandsons, Tyler and Junior.

 

He leaves behind two brothers, Carlton, and Herman Jr; one sister, Delores; two daughters, Jackie and Patricia; seven cherished grandchildren, Kristy, Amaris, Tony (TJ), Kaleem, Matthew, Yana and Sean; seven great-grandsons, Derrick, Najay, Isaiah, Daniel Jr, Amari, Mesiah, Tony III and nine great-granddaughters, Kenani, Leilani, Harlem, Kimberly (Raelynn), Tymprance, Christanie, Ava, Aviyana and Saryah who will all remember him fondly for his warmth, wisdom and humor.

 

His legacy lives on through the generations he nurtured and the many lives he touched.

 

The family invites friends and loved ones to remember him in their own way — through shared stories, laughter and love.

 

Though he is no longer with us, Rodney's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

 

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
