Robert Rankin

Kinston- Robert Joe Rankin, 84, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Greendale Forest Nursing and Rehabilitation in Snow Hill.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16th at 2 p.m. at Park East Church of God in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends afterwards.

Mr. Rankin was born in Kentucky on January 12, 1938 to the late Joe and Lois Womack Rankin.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Ann Gurley Rankin; his children, Rebecca Wyatt, David Rankin, Dale Rankin and wife, Kim, Kenny Rankin and wife, Mary Ann, Jeanette Parsley, Dianne Kinder and husband, Jimmy and Barbara Aniba and husband, Harry; one step-son, Timothy Lupton; his sister, Shirley Brown and husband, Thomas; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; his niece, Christie Clarke and husband, Christopher Clarke and their son, Parker Clarke and many friends and church family at ParkEast Church of God in Goldsboro where he was also a member.

A special thanks to Greendale Forest Staff and Community Home Health and Cardinal Home Health for taking care of Mr. Robert and still taking care of his wife, Ann.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
