Richard William Engle

Richard William Engle, 70, of Pikeville passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards.  A graveside service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.

Mr. Engle was born in West Virginia on February 18, 1950 to the late Richard and Ivy Bent Engle.  He attended The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro and was retired from CP&L.  Mr. Engle was a disable veteran of the United States Marine Corps and member of the Waynesborough Detachment #1350 Marine Corps League. 

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Engle; one sister, Nancy “Pat” Littleton of Goldsboro; one sister-in-law, Debbie Abel and husband, Ken of Goldsboro and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
