Phillip “Phil” Farra Hampton, Jr., 83, of Dudley passed away September 6, 2021 at Duke Hospital in Durham.

All services will be held privately.

Mr. Hampton was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 9, 1938 to the late Phillip F. Hampton Sr. and Pauline Hunt Hampton. He was retired from the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Michael Hampton; one son, Phillip F. Hampton III of Goldsboro; one daughter, Michelle Hampton Vaughn of Goldsboro; two sisters, Barbara Hampton of Durham and Sandra Rigsbee and husband, Bernice of Durham and two grandchildren, Cody Phillip Vaughn and Brittany Pamela Vaughn and fiance, Chris Breedan.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
