Paul E. Parks, 94, of Goldsboro went to his heavenly home Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
He was the loving husband of the late Dora Mae Parks and a dedicated member of Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs.
Viewing will be held Monday, January 24, 2022, from 2 unit 4 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Due to our current pandemic with Covid-19, a graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Broadhurst Cemetery at 3377 Indian Springs Road in Seven Springs, NC. The family will gather at Jerusalem FWB Church at 395 Jerusalem Church Road, Seven Springs, NC Tuesday morning at 10:15 a.m. to prepare for the funeral procession to the cemetery.
Mr. Parks was born in Wayne County on June 25, 1927, to the late Elijah and Elizabeth Broadhurst Parks. He was retired from Cherry Hospital and Mayflower Moving Company.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Harrell Parks; four daughters, Janice Chambers, Paula Rena Parks Byrant (Elgin), Paula Renette Parks Harrison and LaVeta Wright; two brothers, Bobby Parks and Ellis Leon Parks (Catherine); two sisters, Jean P. Whitfield (Lenston) and Bettie Boykin (Monte); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Parks.
Services are entrusted to the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
