Novella Pitt Perry, 89, of Goldsboro received her ultimate healing Monday, June 2, 2025 at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro. She was born in Wayne County on April 30, 1936 to the late Elijah and Carrie Barnes Pitt.
Homegoing service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park North in Goldsboro. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Perry was a member of Elm Grove Church Ministries (The Throne Room) in Pikeville. She was formerly employed with Kemp Furniture and was a home sitter with WAGES while her health permitted.
Surviving are her four sons, James Perry Jr. (Patricia) of Goldsboro, Raymond Lee Perry (Liz) of Nebraska, Elijah Perry (Cindy) of Washington State and Willard Sprangle of Goldsboro and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Willie Earl Perry; one brother, Chester Lee Thompson; one sister, Mary Collins Best; one grandson, Dennis Robinson and two great-grandchildren, Keson Robinson and Javon Langston.
