Mother Elizabeth Lewis, 82, received her robe and crown in Heaven on Saturday morning, September 11, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Wayne County on June 25, 1939 to the late John Wesley Lewis Sr. and Viola Kornegay Lewis. A faithful servant of the Lord, she was a member of Central Heights Free Will Baptist Church where she was a Mother. She will be deeply missed by all.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her devoted family including two sons, Milford Best Jr. and wife, Diane of Goldsboro and Larry Donnell Best of Goldsboro; three daughters, Wilma "Toola" Barnes and husband, Ricky of Goldsboro, Yvonne McClarin and husband, Chester of Goldsboro and Betty Smith of Maryland; one brother, Robert Lewis of Goldsboro; thirteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday morning, September 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Old Mill Cemetery in Goldsboro.
