Monika Acree Obituary
Monika Doerr Acree, 76, of Princeton passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Acree was born in Germany on September 1, 1944 to the late Wilhelm Doerr and Annalise Bonaman Doerr. Mrs. Acree loved to shop with her daughter-in-law, Tammy. She looked forward to spending several months in Florida with her husband just traveling and fishing. Most of all, Mrs. Acree adored her family and her two dogs, Maggie and Buddy.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Gene “Bill” Acree; her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Tammy Acree of Princeton and one daughter, Nicole Moir of Canada.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
