Milton Downing Obituary

Milton Antonio Downing, 87, of Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

The family will receive friends at the residence on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3 until 6 p.m.

Mr. Downing was born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands on September 1, 1934 to the late Carlos and Valentine Sibilly Downing. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by one son, Russell Downing of Goldsboro; one daughter, Valli Downing of Goldsboro; one brother, Michael Roebuck of Florida; one sister, Judy Turbey of Florida; one granddaughter, Tiffany and three great-grandchildren of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Downing was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Simmons Downing; his brothers, Carl Downing and Arthur Downing and a sister, Myrna Caruso.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
