Michael D. Bell Sr.

Michael Devonne Bell Sr., 64, of Goldsboro went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home.

 
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

 
Mr. Bell was born in Wayne County on July 16, 1957 to the late John Henry and Thelma Buckrham Bell.  He was a member of St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ in Goldsboro.   He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Divisions of Prison.  In his spare time, he loved to fish and also ride his bicycle.

 
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Tammy Davis Bell; three sons, Corey D. Ray and wife, Letecia of South Korea, Michael D. Bell Jr. and wife, Antonia of Costa Rica and Marquis J. Bell of Miami, Florida; three daughters, Tiffany Newson and husband, Justin of Greenville, Carla Denise Ray of Garner and Macie Elizabeth Bell of Chapel Hill;  one brother, Andra Bell of Goldsboro; two sisters, Mary B. Hobbs Hamm and husband, Jesse of Goldsboro and Torrior Mechelle Bell of Goldsboro; six grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Chip, Dawson and Gypsy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie B. Bell and John Henry Bell Jr.
