Mrs. Mary Frances Pridgen of Franklin Springs, GA, formerly of Dudley, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at her home.

 

Mrs. Pridgen was born on June 5, 1936, daughter of the late Ben Alton Barnes and the late Edith Ruth Tosto Barnes.  She was a supervisor having worked at Burlington Industry.  She was a former member of Emmaus Baptist Church in Dudley, NC.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Junior Pridgen and grandson, Gentry Wayne Pridgen.

 

Survivors include her son, Elbert Wayne Pridgen (Audrey) of Mt. Olive, NC; sisters, Carolyn Moore (Levy) of Franklin Springs, GA, Nancy B. Williamson (Gus H. Tulloss, fiancé) of Emerald Isle, NC, LaNell B. Cobb of Goldsboro, NC and Donna D. Morris of Goldsboro, NC; one special niece; three special nephews and six great nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, NC, with Reverend Harrison Lampley officiating.
