Mary Lee Davis

Mary Lee Davis, 83, of Dudley went to her heavenly home Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Viewing will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 4 until 5:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will take place Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.

Mary was born in Duplin County on July 28, 1938 to the late Zeb Davis Sr. and Bessie Philpot Davis. She was a member of Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs and the State Employees Association. Mrs. Davis was an avid horticulturist, and master gardener.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Tammy Davis Bell and husband, Michael of Goldsboro and Denise Murphy and husband, Bobby of Greenville; two sons, Brian Maurice Davis of Dudley and Travis Earl Davis of Mt. Olive; eleven grandchildren, Corey Ray, Tiffany Newson, Carla Ray, Macie Bell, Diandra Tyson, Tony Tyson II, Bryana M. Davis, Anna Meadows, Devonne Bell, Marquis Bell and Anthony Harlee; two great-grandchildren, Bry'on Shaw and Willow Shaw; special nieces, Arlene Exum Taylor and Janice Parks Chambers; special fur babies, Sealey and Trooper and other special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Zeb Davis Jr., Jerome Davis and Daniel Davis and two sisters, Dora Mae Parks and Annie Ruth Exum.
