Margaret “Sue” Martin, 93, of Goldsboro went to her heavenly home Friday, April 10, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro with Bishop Alton Smith officiating.
Mrs. Martin was born in Duplin County on October 23, 1926. She was a faithful member of St. Mark Church of Christ in Goldsboro and retired from Cherry Hospital, #59 after 27 years of dedicated service.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, James Edward Martin and wife, Sandra of Hampton, Virginia; three daughters, Elizabeth “Liz” Barnes and husband, Harold of Pikeville, Barbara Evangeline Hatten and husband, Paul of Goldsboro and Wanda Lewis and husband, James Ray of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, Tavares Martin, Sabrina Martin, Harold Barnes Jr., Marcos Hatten (Quetta), Rashi Lewis (Toinette) and JaWanda McLean (Brian); twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lannie McCoy Wolfe and her husband, Edward Davis Martin.
Viewing will be held Monday, April 13, 2020 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27533.
