Margaret Jean Talley, 93, of Goldsboro departed this earthly life Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at her home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 2 until 3 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A private burial will be held at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Talley was born in England on August 17, 1930 to the late John and Christiana Cubitt Smiles. She was a member of the Golden Ages of Wayne County where she enjoyed playing Canasta and Dominos.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Stephen J. Talley of Goldsboro and William Talley (Carol Moss) of Goldsboro; one sister, Nancy Dalby of Canada; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston E. Talley.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
