Mae Gloria Ford Dillehay was born to the late Kirby Ford and Annie Harris Ford who went from labor to reward on Friday, March 8, 2024.
Gloria as she was called, graduated from Dillard High School and NC A&T College which now known as NC A&T State University.
She was a member of St. Joseph Free Will Baptist Church where she had served on various committees. For several years she was a member of the Goldsboro Continental Society and served in various offices including Past President.
Gloria was employed by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, later known as Department of Health and Human Services with the Agency of Social Security Administration. She worked in various offices in and out of the state of North Carolina and retired in the Goldsboro office as a Claim Representative. She enjoyed her job and helping people. Gloria integrated the offices in Roanoke, Virginia and Kinston, North Carolina. Her work ethics caused her to be rewarded by the Agency.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. (Tony) Dillehay.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Marney Dillehay and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at noon at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Dudley. The family will receive friends following the service.
