MSgt. William Joseph Martin, USAF, (Ret.) of Goldsboro passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Richmond VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 77.

Funeral service will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with military honors. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania on September 15, 1946 to the late John and Catherine Smith Martin.  He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Goldsboro.

He is survived by one son, Wiechai Martin and wife, Nuntiya; three brothers, Jim Martin, Steve Martin and John Martin; two sisters, Alice Martin and Mary Martin; and two grandchildren, Johnny Martin and Salin Martin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Chin Martin.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
