Lester Graham Britt

Lester Graham Britt, 89 passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at his home in Pikeville NC.

Lester was born in Wayne County on May 27, 1935 to the late Henry and Bertha Britt.

Lester loved his Lord, Jesus Christ and made the decision to accept him as his Savior over 55 years ago, and served in many different ways as teaching Sunday School, ushering, to driving a church bus. Lester enjoyed his family and looked forward to family gatherings.

Lester retired from being a meat cutter with Piggly Wiggly in Princeton, NC at age 80 and also worked at other food stores in North Carolina and Maryland during his career. After retirement he began to transport autos for Sport Durst, Deacon Jones and other dealerships. He attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

Lester is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ann Best Britt; his children, Wanda Harris (Gene), Wendy Pittman (Greg), Wanita Bledsoe (Phillip), Larry Britt (Toni), Linwood Britt (Gwen) and grandchildren, Summer Flowers (David), Autumn Cox (Kristian), Abigail Pierce, Olivia Pierce, Taylor Britt (Michaela), Zackary Seeber, Tristan Seeber and great-grandchildren, Cade Flowers, Kannon Flowers, Kolbie Flowers, Kinley Cox, Kasen Cox and Lathan Britt.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 1200 W Grantham St, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

Services to celebrate Lester's life will be held at 6:00 PM on January 1, 2025 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro, NC with Pastor Christian Powell officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be on January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, US 70 West, Princeton,  NC.
