Lela Jane (Mankey) Wallace

Lela Jane Wallace, 84, of Goldsboro passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service.

Mrs. Wallace was born in Washington state on January 22, 1936 to the late David and Ethel Mankey. She was a member of United in Christ Church in Goldsboro. She was also a member of the Shriners and Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. Wallace; three sons, Jon David Teachey and wife, Elvira of Goldsboro, Jeff Wayne Teachey and wife, Sherrie of Goldsboro and Johnny Carl Wallace Jr. and wife, Brandy of Tennessee; one daughter, Jill Elizabeth Sells of Tennessee; one sister, Marilyn; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband James Everett Teachey and a son, Jimmy Everett Teachey Jr.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
