Kathie Bowe (Roy) Steele

Kathie Bowe Steele, 57, of Pikeville passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Selma Edgerton United Methodist Church in Selma.

Mrs. Steele was born in Maine on April 26, 1962 to the late Gilbert Thomas and Marlene Metcalf Roy. 

She is survived by her husband, Joseph B. Steele; three daughters, Shannon Dial and husband, Chimino of Pikeville, Stephanie Bowe of Raleigh and Jessica Bowe of Massachusetts; one brother, Kenneth Roy and wife, Katherine of Massachusetts; three sisters, Colleen Canning of Massachusetts, Barbara Roy of Pikeville and Renee Sword of Massachusetts and two grandchildren, Chimino Dial Jr. and Roman Dial.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley I. Bowe; one brother, Gilbert Roy Jr.; one sister, Lorraine Deyesso and a brother-in-law, Robert Canning.

The family is the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
