Julie Ridoutt Matthews

Julie Ridoutt Matthews, 51, of Dudley departed this earthly life Monday, September 22, 2025 at UNC Health Rex in Raleigh. She was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on April 13, 1974.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Visitation will follow the service.

Cherishing her memories are her father, Alan Ridoutt (Melinda Weaver) of Zebulon; her mother, Ruth Caruthers Porter (Russell) of Pikeville; her fiance, Ron Hare of Dudley; her son, Hunter Matthews (Lydia) of New Bern; her brother, David Alan Ridoutt (Trisha Ayyagari) of New York and her beloved dog, Faith.

Preceding her in death are paternal grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Ridoutt and her maternal grandparents, Marvin and Thelma Caruthers.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
