Jerry Wayne Hoskins

Jerry Wayne Hoskins, age 66, of Grantham, NC, passed away on April 18, 2020 after a long hard fight with COPD. 

A memorial service for family and close friends will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with Reverend Christian Powell and Reverend Walter Sloan officiating.

Jerry was born in Goldsboro on June 23, 1953.  He retired from being a Heavy Equipment Operator.  Jerry enjoyed fishing, seeing his family and grandkids and loved the Lord.  He was an active collector of John Deere merchandise.

Jerry is survived by his sisters, Ruby Sites, Jean Brock, Bonnie Hoskins and Tracy Hoskins; his brother, Jimmy Hoskins Jr., all from Goldsboro, NC; his sons, Robert Hoskins and wife, Melissa of Pikeville and Scott Phelps and wife, Brandy of Goldsboro; five grandkids, Heather Bradley and husband, Greg, Jenny Cox, Taylor Cox, Kaydence Matthews and Wesley Matthews; six great grandkids, Addison Reinhard, Kaelyn Warren, Aubrey Cox, Hayden Bradley, Adalyn Warren, Allison Warren “His Peanut” and other family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by parents, Carl Jack Hoskins Sr. and Nellie Radford Hoskins; and his brothers, Carl Hoskins Jr. and Jimmy Hoskins Sr.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
