Jerry Lee Futrell Obituary
Jerry Lee Futrell, 55, of Dudley passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 28, 2024.
Jerry was born in Wayne County on February 6, 1969. Jerry Futrell, a man of faith and boundless talent, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, skill and melody.
A devoted Christian, Jerry's life was marked by his ability to mend almost anything that was broken. His hands, skilled in the art of repair, were equally adept at coaxing music from nearly any instrument, filling the air with the joy of his musical gifts. Jerry found peace and contemplation in his love for fishing, where he often shared stories and laughter by the water's edge.
He will be remembered not only for his practical and musical talents but for the warmth, faith, and joy he shared with his community. Jerry's memory will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family, friends and all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Carol Futrell; his mother, Edith Futrell; his brother, Reverend William Futrell (Tracy); his children, Chad Brogden (Ashley), Lorenda Brogden (Robert) and Anthony Brogden (Betsy); his grandchildren, Joel Brogden, Aleea Darden, Josiah Brogden, Nico Brogden, Chad Brogden Jr. and Willow Darden and his nieces and nephews, Andrew Futrell (Lorah), Samuel Futrell and Rebekah Futrell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Bobby Lee Futrell and his granddaughter, Baby Girl Skylar Ann Darden.
