Janet Stanley King

Janet Stanley King, 71, of Pikeville departed this earthly life Thursday, February 1, 2024 at her home. 

At her request, no formal service will be held.

Mrs. King was born in Johnston County on June 13, 1952 to the late Charles Earl and Ila Guin Stanley. She loved reading and spending time with her grandbabies.

Cherishing her memories are her daughter, Jennifer King DiMilia and husband, Michael of Clayton; four sisters, Brenda Cobb of Four Oaks, Jean Morgan and husband, Donald of Benson, Bonnie Thornton and husband, Clark of Princeton and Sharon Stanley Smith of Four Oaks; five grandchildren, Charlie Grace, Connor, Rylee, Michael and Hannah along with a host of other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Stanley and her sister, Hazel Lee.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
