James "Jimmy" Earl Swinson

James “Jimmy” Earl Swinson, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home.

Homegoing services will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at noon at First African Baptist Church, 803 Harris Street in Goldsboro.  Interment will follow at Swinson Family Cemetery.

Mr. Swinson was born in Wayne County to Sadie Coley Swinson of Raleigh and the late Robert L. Swinson “Papa Bob”. 

In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Nadine Reynolds Swinson; one daughter, Avetta “Cookie” Swinson of Raleigh; his step-son, John Fant of Maryland; his brother, Reginald Swinson and wife, Terrie of LaGrange and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 4 until 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro and other times at the home of his brother and sister-in law's home in LaGrange, Reginald and Terrie Swinson.
