James O. Jackson, a seasoned trucking professional with 25 years of dedicated service, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 50. 

Throughout his remarkable career, spanning two decades, James distinguished himself as a long-haul livestock hauler for Goldsboro Milling Co. until joining the team at Smithfield Grain in La Grange in 2021. Born on April 7, 1974 in Lumberton, North Carolina, to Lacy Jackson and Tina Anderson, James relocated with his family to Goldsboro in 1983. Affectionately known by his CB handle, 'Bulldog', by friends and family, James had a passion for fishing and grilling. 

James is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Jackson; cherished sons, Jonathan and Aaron Jackson and Dylan Daughtry; beloved daughters, Kenna and his late daughter, Destinee Clayton; loving father, Lacy Jackson and mother, Tina Anderson, along with stepfather, Glenn; brothers, Joe Jackson and Brandon Corey (wife Bobbie Corey); caring daughters-in-law, Brittany and Emily Jackson; and adored grandchildren, Maddox, Melanie, Samuel and Isabella. 

James Jackson will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his profession and his deep love for his family and friends. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 3 until 4:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
